About three Nigerian Stowaways was reportedly deported to Tema port, Ghana. The Stowaways who intended to travel to Spain but was very disappointed to see themselves in Ghana. The 3 Nigerian Stowaways namely: Isaac Daniel 32, Stephen Nuta 28 and Kelvin Popoola 26, were reported to have sneaked on board the vessel MV Unity from Apapa Port of Nigeria, with the information that the vessel was heading to Europe, while targeting Spain.
One of the Stowaways was previously deported to Nigeria and was under police watch, but later escape for another rounds, since he was paid 600 USdallar on the previous operation.
The ship in case MV Unity was to discharge remaining cargo in Tema port when port security sight the suspects who were hiding in a small space behind the vessel’s propeller shaft.
